κάμιλος, ου, ὁ rope, ship’s cable is the rdg. of several mss., and of several versions (e.g. Armenian; FHerklotz, BZ 2, 1904, 176f) Mt 19:24; Mk 10:25; Lk 18:25 instead of κάμηλος (q.v.). κάμιλος, found only in Suda 1967c and the scholia on Aristoph.
